As you will have hopefully seen we shared a Knowledge Management Advent through the blog in December last year. Below are some statistics and feedback and an outline of some next steps you might want to make.
Why not make a Knowledge Management-shaped New Years Resolution?
- 15 tools and techniques shared
- 2,826k views for the advent doors throughout December
- Top door = Randomized Coffee Trials with 534 views
- 6k views on the Clinical Librarians blog in December 2017 (including posts other that KM Advent). The most views the site has ever had.
- Fantastic engagement on Twitter throughout the whole month including sharing examples of KM in action
Feedback and comments
“Thanks for posting the Advent calendar Katie/Emily. They are a useful reminder/refresher with the occasional new gem thrown in!!”
“I just wanted to thank you for creating and sharing the advent calendar. Katie kindly sent me your internal version which I modified for NHS Digital. I shared it with our senior clinical leads and they really liked it. I received the following feedback from our Medical Director and Caldicott Guardian who has asked his PA to forward the Powerpoint slidedeck to our Executive Management Team and Heads of Professions.” “I loved the advent calendar it is a really good Clinical Governance tool”
“Thank you for doing this advent calendar. I have tweeted the doors every day to raise awareness.”
“I’m saving all of your features as they are good development ideas for the service (for when we’re hopefully fully staffed and able to implement some of them…)”
After sharing the advent throughout December we’d love people to make a New Year’s Resolution to have a go at delivering some KM in 2018. If the advent has inspired you to try some KM in your organisation tweet us (@katien52 or #KMAdvent17) or comment below with your KM plans for the year ahead. The plan is to put another call out halfway through the year for any examples of what people have been up to so we can share best practice with others through the KM toolkit on the Knowledge for Healthcare blog.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
Katie and Emily (the KM team)
